 MetPAD™
and MetPLATE™
MetPAD™ and MetPLATE™ are toxicity test kits specific for detecting
heavy metal toxicity in environmental samples, including water,
wastewater, sediments, soils, biosolids, and metal hyperaccumulating
plants.
The
MetPLATE kit contains
freeze-dried test bacteria, an enzyme substrate, buffer, dilution
moderately hard water, a Cu positive control, and a 96-well
microplate for enzyme assay.
The MetPAD
kit contains freeze-dried test bacteria, buffer, dilution
moderately hard water, a Cu positive control, and a pad containing
the enzyme substrate.
Both tests are based on the
specific inhibition of beta-galactosidase by heavy metals.
